In accordance with Act 15/1999 of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPD) and Act 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society and Electronic Commerce Services, the SPANISH EPISCOPAL CONFERENCE, located at Calle Añastro, 1 28033 Madrid, informs you that the details you provide through the Website when making a donation or requesting information, will be stored on a file which is recorded by the Spanish Agency for Data Protection, and of which we are the holders.
If you make a donation with us, we will ask you for your name, sex, address, telephone number and other contact details. The law demands that we send the Spanish Tax Office a list of all donations and donors each year. To that end we need an identity document from each donor who wants tax relief. In the event of not wanting your details to be passed on to the Spanish Tax Office, we offer you a rebuttal option.
If you pay by credit card, the card details will be encrypted and transferred to our payment institutions.
Your personal details will only be processed for the purposes of processing your donation and keeping you informed regarding the organisation and in the case of details regarding sex and date of birth, in the drawing up of statistical profiles.
We will also use your details to confirm your donation. All donations are confirmed by automated email with a letter of thanks. You can request an overall summary of your donations or online purchases stored on the system.
We keep a record of the people asking for information or help in order to communicate with them or provide them with follow-up information. However, said details are not released to anyone without the express authorisation of the donor, and are not used for any other purposes.
Your personal details may only be used internally within the Spanish Episcopal Conference and may not be provided to third parties, other than when necessary for the distribution of publications (first name, surname and address) once a purchase has been made on the Website.
Our donations form uses the Secure Server Software (SSL) system, which is the industry standard for guaranteeing risk-free financial transactions. This system encodes absolutely all personal information, including bank details, name and address, so that these may not be read while they travel through cyberspace. When a web page is secure, as is the case with our form, the closed padlock or the whole key icons appear in internet browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer, as opposed to the open image that show for normal browsing.
By providing your details through the Website you are giving your consent for the processing of the details for the abovementioned purposes. Furthermore, you are authorising the sending of information regarding our actions and campaigns, both by email and by post. If you do not wish to receive publicity information, you may indicate as such by sending an email to "firstname.lastname@example.org"
The Spanish Episcopal Conference reserves the right to amend this policy to adapt it to changes in the regulations. In such cases, the Spanish Episcopal Conference will communicate the changes to be made with reasonable warning before they come into effect.
In the event of the above, you may exercise your right to rectification, cancellation, and opposition, as provided for in the current Data Protection Law, either by sending an email to email@example.com including your Full Name, as well as your DNI/PASSPORT number as it appears in our Database and indicating the right you wish to exercise, or requesting to do so at our office reception on Calle Añastro, Madrid 28033.
